Like stripping a painter’s palette back to the three primary colours, a wine of place can be stripped back to three primary elements- sunlight (yellow), rainfall (blue) and earth (red). The lines waver slightly to symbolise the organic nature of winemaking and record the fluctuations of the elements with time; each new vintage having unique conditions, giving rise to a unique wine.
It was important to maximise the texture of the label and make the lines pop from the background. The design is based on a painting by winemaker Martin Siebert.
