Prohibition Liquor Co have released another stunner of a product, both in looks and taste, to give the gin industry yet another shake up!
Their newest release Shiraz Barrel Aged Gin, is the first product to come from the barrels stored in the brand’s Gilbert Street Tasting Room in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. The package is another nod to prohibition era with an original image adorning the back label seen through the rich red spirit, offset by an intricate red foil on Manter’s Tintoretto Black stock with simple emboss treatment. As with the rest of the Prohibition packaging range, the labels were printed by MCC Labels, which combine with French Saverglass bottles and custom Tapi Italian Timber T-top stoppers. The spirit itself has notes of American naked bourbon and Barossa Valley Shiraz, with a punchy gin at 60% alc/vol. The gin itself is an overproof expression of Prohibition’s international award-winning Original gin, so is citrus driven, with vanilla and floral finish, but packs a punch with more intensity than ever before. The time in oak makes for the most drinkable 60% gin going around! A must for any gin-lover, but different to any Shiraz gin or barrel aged gin you’ve ever tasted!
