Prohibition Navy Strength Gin pays homage to the tradition established in the days of timber sailing ships, where the liquor stocks would be stored in barrels high in the bow, with the gunpowder stock. Any liquor below 54% ABV is not flammable, therefore when barrels leaked, would foul the gunpowder. Hence Navy Strength or Gunpowder Proof spirits were mandatory on naval vessels and the tradition of navy strength spirits was born.
Prohibition Navy Strength Gin features a bold, Australian native citrus, meets coastal influence, with samphire, saltbush and sea salt, with a bold Juniper-forward gin to reflect its high ABV.
