When exceptional parcels of wine present themselves, Schild Estate set fruit aside to make ‘PRAMIE’. This limited release allows the winemakers to develop and showcase the best fruit from the best parcels of land for that vintage.

Black Squid Design approached the label concept in a literal way – featuring the earth from which the fruit was grown. They photographed the actual soil collected from the Liebich and Angus Brae Shiraz blocks, high on the Estates Eastern Hills; the star performers’ for the 2013 vintage.

A Cast Gloss stock was selected to fuel the shine of the metallic gold ink. Multiple hits of black and a matt varnish were employed to provide maximum colour density and add an earthy finish. A mechanical emboss was applied to the highlights of the soil image to give the label ‘lift’ and tactility.

Simple typography is proudly nestled within the very soil from which it was made. The soil in turn, envelopes the bottle using a large wrap label, almost as though its still protecting the contents within, and proudly presenting the wine to its consumer.
