Home to Peter Drayton Wines at the foot of the Brokenback mountain range is IronBark Hill Vineyard, named after the intrinsically Australian eucalyptus trees found on the property.
Previously the IronBark Hill labels were a standalone range, but as part of the rebrand and portfolio restructure, they were brought under the PDW family of wines. The brief was to ‘celebrate the Hunter Valley with the boldness and craftsmanship that is synonymous with Peter Drayton’ radiating a contemporary, exuberant and quintessentially ‘Australian’ personality.
Decisive and consistent across the whole PDW portfolio is the crisp top white border and the attached PD monogram, ranged left on the wrap uncoated labels. Each varietal has its own vibrant colourway of the commissioned abstract painting accented with a graphic eucalyptus leaf skeleton and grainy ‘landscape’ markings. Various elements like the leaf are highlighted with textured super gloss high build as well as an accent paint stroke which creates an intaglio effect of the reversed out PD monogram.
