The Follett family have been growing grapes on their Langhorne Creek property since the 1880’s and have developed an enviable reputation for consistently producing outstanding wines. The Drake was created to showcase Lake Breeze’s most exclusive wine to date; an extremely limited release of only 480 bottles.
The illustration was drawn by Rachel Arthur, who has breathed new life into the well-known silhouette of the Lake Breeze duck icon. The design of the label is minimal and restrained, providing generous space around the illustration, and elevating the label into a premium sphere.
An intricate sculptured emboss provides depth and texture, enhancing the hand crafted appeal of the label. The stripes of the collar label add a subtle masculine edge, in honour of the drake, and in balance with the softer tones of the illustration. The overall effect is one of refined elegance, perfectly suited to the sophisticated wine within.
This inaugural release is the pinnacle of winemaking at Lake Breeze and is a true wine of provenance.
