Bâtonnage

Portfolio Categories: Conventional Print, Label of the Week, and Regional.

We wanted to create a label for the on premise market that focussed on the unique winemaking process used for these wines. Bâtonnage is the French term for stirring the lees during the aging and maturation of wine. We carry out Bâtonnage on both our Chardonnay and Malbec parcels, said Lucy Wilson, colouring-in expert at Bremerton.

This series draws on the intricate vine illustration which first appeared on Bremerton’s premium range of wines. The restrained printing method echoes the excellence and ‘light touch’ required in winemaking, to develop this range of wines.
